ALCUDIA SANT PERE, PATRON SAINT OF FISHERMEN
|
25th-29th JUNE
|
|
Everyday there are live concerts and exhibitions including Beach Rugby,
Gymnastics, Karate, or you can even join in yourselves and test your balance in the
human tower competition. On June 29th there's a procession both on land and sea
with the statue of the saint. The parade carries the statue through the streets of Port
d'Alcúdia, then sails it round the Bay, followed by hundreds of decorated boats. A
great fireworks display at midnight by the old pier in Alcudia puts an end to these
marvellous celebrations.
